Membership in BABC

BABC membership is open to a wide range of individuals and organizations who have a connection to Australia, New Zealand, or Bulgaria. Whether you're an Australian company with a local branch in Bulgaria, an agent of an Australian company, or an individual or company with business relationships in Australia, you're invited to join us. Additionally, Australian citizens working in Bulgaria and Bulgarian companies are also eligible for membership.


We extend a warm welcome to anyone with an interest in the business, cultural, and social events surrounding Australia, New Zealand, and Bulgaria. Whether you have experience working, studying, or living in any of these places, or simply have a passion for the unique and diverse cultures of the region, we invite you to join our community.

CORPORATE MEMBERSHIP

This membership provides a comprehensive set of benefits, such as exclusive invitations to corporate member events, featuring the corporate logo and website on the membership directory, and a fully-featured online profile page. Corporate members also receive a listing in our service directory.

INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIP

As an Individual Member, you can participate in most of BABC's events, receive all publications, and access BABC's contacts and resources. Additionally, you will receive an entry in the online profile page.

Joining BABC means becoming part of a global network of organizations in Europe and Australia working together to enhance trade, investment, business, and diplomatic ties between the regions.​​​​​​​

Membership is valid for a period of 12 months, starting from the date of joining.

Oleg Temnikov

Oleg Temnikov is a member of the Dispute Resolution, Projects and Regulatory & Procurement teams. He joined Wolf Theiss Sofia in 2011 after being a trainee lawyer at the Paris office of a large international law firm. Oleg is experienced in a wide variety of matters, including litigation and arbitration, energy law, competition, international investment law, private international law and white collar crime. With a background in international and European law, Oleg has been involved in major domestic and international arbitration proceedingss and complex cross-border disputes. He also coaches Bulgarian teams for international arbitration competitions. Oleg specialises in the energy sector and has advised on a number of complex regulatory and dispute resolution matters in this field. His experience includes domestic and international arbitration, pre-merger legal due diligence, financing structuring, cross-border investment projects and PPPs. Zdravko Donkov

Zdravko Donkov is an electronics engineer, co-founder and managing partner at ‘Smartity’ – the first Bulgarian specialised KNX home automation and system integration company. ‘Smartity’ has successful track of records in Bulgaria and in many EU countries – both as a consultant and as a system integrator.

Zdravko Donkov is the first and only Bulgarian certified KNX Tutor, founder of ‘Blue KNX’ – the sole Bulgarian certified KNX training centre for system integrators.

Veronika Hadjieva

Veronika Hadjieva joined Kambourov & Partners in 2004. She is the head of the firm's Corporate Governance practice and a key Corporate and M&A expert. Veronika works side to side with both domestic and international clients in large-scale, local and cross-border transactions. Her experience covers domestic and trans-border M&A, corporate finance, foreign investments, consolidations and de-mergers, business separation, corporate structuring, privatization, post-privatization/post-acquisition unbundling and restructuring of acquired enterprises, information memoranda, drafting and negotiating transaction documents, including share purchase agreements, escrow account agreements and others. With over 10 years of experience in food and beverage, international trade, and entrepreneurship, Ina is a visionary leader. She has been recognized globally, including at Global Entrepreneurial Summits and through initiatives led by former President Barack Obama. Ina is now seeking like-minded individuals to join her in enhancing Bulgaria's reputation and creating innovative products with Rosey's Mark.

Simon Jenner

Simon makes space more accessible for individuals, companies, and countries around the world. Australian born and raised, he now lives in Sofia and works for Axiom Space – who are building the world’s first commercial space station, building the spacesuits for humanity’s return to the lunar surface, and is the only organisation in the world sending private astronaut missions to the International Space Station. His day job at Axiom is to lift the global space ecosystem through the company’s unique position as the only commercial entity able to undertake these private missions, getting countries, individuals, corporations or academic institutions to space. Simon has a Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Adelaide, and a Masters of Space Studies from the International Space University in Strasbourg, France. In a past life in Australia, Simon was a leader within the waste management and recycling industry, working in numerous sales, innovation and management roles for Cleanaway Waste Management, as well as Board positions on the Waste Management Association of Australia and the Landfill Owners Association.

 

Now that he’s here, Simon has made it his pet project to get the next Bulgarian astronaut to space.
